Guest pdes Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Team, My company forces me to lock the device every 15 minutes if I want to connect to the exchange server. The normal lock screen settings are modified so that they cannot be set for longer than 15 minutes of inactivity or canceled all together. This causes no end of problems with some applications (e.g. Winterface). Is there a way round this? Can i get control of the lock screen back without stopping my Exchange connection? Thanks
Guest Alshandron Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 Hi. Have you thought that there might be some reason for that 15min time limit? The company wants to protect their data. Security reasons. I wouldn't start hacking with company's security policies. Even if there's a way, I'd suggest that you try to live with it (or buy your own phone and set it to lock whenever you want).
Guest Monolithix Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 Do they offer IMAP instead? No contacts or calendar sync then though...

I used to use it, but without the lock, there is a lot more pocket dialing. Entering a PIN is less embarrasing that calling someone 5 times in a row without knowing it. http://www.zenyee.com/2008/10/19/stay-unlo...fter-two-years/
