Please recommend: Driving/racing game for Omnia

I've been through a lot of the Omnia Games thread and didn't find what I was looking for. I ask forgiveness in advance for being exhausted looking through that thread and not being able to peruse it completely, rather relying on the good will of the community here :(

I'm looking for a good driving/racing game to play on my 910. I'm particularly excited about using V-Dpad to drive in a cool way like that iPod Touch ad, which is possible with any game that would use a typical 5-way dpad to control steering, acceleration, braking.

Not looking for free (but that would be nice, of course!) -- quite willing to pay.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

asphalt 4 works good you can tap/hold the edge of the screen to turn etc or use accelerometer, im using version 1.1.2

Agreed its a top game which works well.

Also, Project Gotham Racing Mobile 3D version 1.1.7 is pretty good.

A4 probably works just find on the 910, but the creator won't sell it to me. Only way to get it is via an SMS, and when I put Verizon in for the carrier, it tells me it's not supported on any Verizon platform.

Pisses me off. I'm more than willing to pay for it.

Any suggestions?

I have found atleast 3 sites that have these Awesome games... And there is more! Act now and you to can have a "Buttload" of fun playing them....just remember that if you like the games..... Buy them! Help support the guys that create them!

This thread really highlights why developers need to sort themselves out if they want to stop piracy of their software. Here we have someone who is open and happy to pay for a game but when he tries to go through the proper, legal, avenues to do so he is met with resistance and a dead end. He comes to a forum and 5 minutes later has a pirate copy that works perfectly!

That is one sale the dev has lost due to their own ineptitude!

Oh and I will add a shout to Please read the site rules no links or requests for warez. Best site out there for Omnia software especially as it's nice and clean, clear and with lots of important info (what version, how it runs on the omnia etc).

True dat -- more true than you know.

Before I posted this thread I contacted Gameloft via their contact address, explained my situation, and asked if I could buy a copy and have them email it to me, or deliver in some other way. They responded that the Verizon 910 was not supported -- sorry. I suspect this has something to do with Verizon, not the application (like, they're working on some deal for delivery through Verizon).

So, after that, I gave up and grabbed the pirated version with a (mostly) clear conscience. If/when support pops up, I'll still go back and pay for it, but for now, I'm using the only option I have.

What stupidity. It's the same idiocy that keeps us from having the coolest, latest phones when they are released, and sometimes never after that even. US carriers are stupidly obsessed with controlling their markets and their customers, rather than attracting customers and building loyalty. Only reason I'm on Verizon is because it was my only option to get an Omnia. I'll bolt -- even at penalty to me -- the moment something better is available from a different carrier. I know there are a lot of people like me. Verizon, for some reason, just doesn't get it.
