Guest Forseti Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 Is it possible to make Omnia acts like an Infraecstructure mode besides AD-Hoc mode WiFi router? At my concern WMWifrouter 2.0 makes only an ad-hoc mode connection... Or else at least make an Ad-hoc link between Omnia and a regular Router and them share it 3g connection through more than one device? This would work specially with PS3 and PSP, as they don't allow ad-hoc WiFi connections...

I don't know if we can use Omnia directly as a wireless AP/router, but if you have a wireless access-point, you can make WMWifiRouter to associate with it and do DHCP/NAT/Routing for clients on the AP. The thing is, I don't think Omnia's wireless driver (or any other devices I guess) can't handle more than one client to be connected, just like our laptops and such... So, my opinion on the answer would be "No, we can't do it directly", but it's just my logic.
Guest Forseti Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Thanks for your answer, I think that so. Now I just have to realize how to make it "chat" with the my wireless AP. tks again.
Guest Ghozer Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Yes, you can make the Omnia act as an AP/Router, just use some software called WMWiFi Router found @ http://www.wmwifirouter.com/ I have used this myself and its amazing.
