Problem with different keyboard arrows! Please help

I am confused.... 

Everytime I install a new ROM like Blackdragons one, I try to reinstall the origin Samsung keyboard 4-5 times because of this problem.

On one installation you get these little arrows to choose your correct word out of the prediction and some de- and installations later you get the big ones...

On other ROMs, like Moyos i only get the little one no matter  how often I reinstall the keyboard.

I can't hit the little ones with my thumbs so it would be great if someone can tell me how to change this or why this is ROM depended?
