Yes, it is annoying. If I need to type in Google Maps, I just switch to the Windows Mobile keyboard and use the mouse pointer to type. It's fine for typing a few short things, but it may drive you mad if you need to type something long.

I rarely use the Samsung keyboard much now days (I use the Sbp Keyboard which works with google)... but..

I just tried the Samsung keyboard with Google v3.0.0.12 and it works fine.
