Changing settings on omnia for better performance

hi guys, i am new to this forum and im just wondering what kind of changes you guys would make to make the omnia perform a little better. I know there are registry hacks for better touch screen performance and moving cache for opera mini... what else do you guys have?

my main concern is when you turn your phone, the screen tries to do this fancy spinning.

it is so so so annoying and sometimes it hangs for a couple seconds before it comes back.... im sure its a simple thing to fix, but any ideas on how to make it not do that and just rotate normally?

Reading the manual would help. Or go and check the settings and you'll see your answer. :(
