ics problems, was working, now computer wont recognize it.

Ok so i've been using ICS for several months now. I have 6.1 running. However as of late it has been having issues. Everytime i plug it in now it pops up and says "USB Device not recognized", even when i'm connecting it with-out having ICS running. ActiveSync SHOULD pop up but it doesn't, it says the same thing.. I tried reinstalled the samsung modem drivers. I can not get this thing back up.

--Here is what i believed happened, I installed AT&T's Connection manager on the laptop to check out their air-card. It started there and gradually got to the point where it is now. I unistalled the manager and everything it put on the computer but it still will not work..

Any suggestions??
