Guest theidoctor.org Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 so i synced my omnia and tried to put some movies on my omnia through the windows media player on my PC and it only shows that i have 88 megabytes of space. apparently, it does not get to the 7.49 gigs of "my storage." does anyone know how to fix this jank?
Guest bpivk Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Don't install trough media player. Or set your phone to use my storage as a USB drive. Go to Settings/Connections/USB Connection mode and see if that works.
Guest theidoctor.org Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 ok... i can switch to tread through the mass storage, but what do you guys recommend i transfer media through?
Guest MrJoneswii Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 ok... i can switch to tread through the mass storage, but what do you guys recommend i transfer media through? I would say normal file transfer in USB mode. Your PC will recognize your omnia as an external hard drive.
Guest theidoctor.org Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 yea... makes sense. i just need to find the folders where the players will find them instead of searching for it once i put it on... thanks for helping!

The touch player has an update feature so it wont matter where you media is stored on your phone it will find it and add it to your library

When trying to sync via Windows Media Player, try syncing "My Storage" instead of the device itself (usually i900 or Omnia or smth. like that)... Syncing the device, makes files go into device memory, while syncing My Storage makes your videos and music go into My Storage (8 or 16gigs). Hope this helps. (I don't like to switch into USB mode, unless I would transfer real big files. Otherwise, I prefer to sync with WMP, as that also copies my playlists and ratings.)
