Guest philcat Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Hi Folks I have a new Samsung Omnia which worked fine for a couple of weeks and then the WiFi died on me, so naturally I thought Samsung would repair it. I contacted them and waited for the return packaging to arrive, then duly despatched it. It arrived back within a few days, with a letter stating it was repaired, sadly it wasn't all they had done was to down-grade the firmware. I contacted them again and after several weeks they agreed to repair it. The packaging arrived again and I sent it off, this time they kept it for 2 weeks before returning it. Again they had not fixed it, in fact it now bears signs of damage, they have chipped the side of the screen and the casing is not back together properly. They state that they will not repair it, because the damage was caused by dropping or crushing. This simply isn't true, it had not been damaged in any way until they got their hands on it, certainly not dropped or crushed. You can see the WiFi problem on this screenshot. So my question is what should I do now? Philcat

I was tempted to ring up Samsung UK so that I would get a better touchscreen. Goodjob I didn't do that, otherwise I would end up with a broken phone Edited February 26, 2009 by msra6la2
