I use iContact Burt Edition 6.4.5 as a contact manager on my omnia

you should give it a try.

It is finger friendly, and the UI looks nice.

The only thing is , adding contacts will be going on the normal way. You can choose to add a new contact in the application but it will open the default software for that

Spam alert is the best there is... iContact is good, but personally I think Spam alert is light years ahead. I tried about 5 before I found it and none of them come close. I'm using M2D (DXIA2/QB04M Rom) and it works like a charm. Oh and I downloaded the 1.3 version... I think it might be a beta version? Either way it works :(

Before i tried iContactBE, Iconsoft Phone EX and some others...

do you mean you tried resco before trying icontact and Spam alert or do you mean you just tried resco contact manager before trying them?

I have tried a host of contact managers. People are entitled to their choices and preferences but if you are very fussy like me, the best is ph0nex. Resco is second.

that spamarific program is decent, but it feels like something is missing. but then again i'm very picky, maybe this new skinnable version will make me happy.

if you just need a contacts manager you can also try panoramic phone genius. they have a nice contacts interface. maybe not as glitzy as the iphone wannabes but its nice.

+1 for Resco Contact Manager. I've been using it for at least a month, and it's great. (And yes, I also tried Phone Ex and some of the others.) It's fast, good-looking, and totally finger-friendly. It has Resco's very smooth built-in inertial scrolling, so it works just as well in 6.1 as in 6.5. One of the things I like best is that you're never faced with dropping back into the native WM contacts app - even creating and editing of contacts are handled directly by Resco, which is not typical of most other products.

As has been said, to each their own -- but I think it's well worth the time to at least install and try it out.

For WM smartphones, I prefer MS Outlook at the PC-end (but not Windows Mail AKA Outlook Express). If you have an older Windows Smartphone, it might have even come with a copy of Outlook (My previous i600 came with OL2003) - you may also have Outlook on your PC already. Exchange users will definitely agree with this as ActiveSync on the phone can sync most of your outlook data directly from Exchange to the phone without even needing to plug the phone into the PC. I only do that now for software installs and firmware updates.

Daz.
