Guest GodsGift Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Hi guys, Hope someone can help me. Just downloaded and installed the new 1.50d version of s2u2 and am loving the new animations and password protection .....BUT .... on my Omnia i900 when I unlock the phone and the password screen is presented my backlight is off. Then as I press the password numbers it momentarily flashes on for each one. When the password is accepted s2u2 closes but leave my Omnia with the backlight off and s2u2 still covering the task bar at the top of the screen. I've tried playing with the s2u2 settings and my power settings but nada. Cheers, GG

I've noticed with a lot of apps that their vibrate/haptic feedback functions cause the Omnia's backlight to go crazy. I think the Omnia is an oddball in that it's vibrate/backlight ports are interchanged.
Guest snrsuave Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 I am having the exact same issue except I don't use the password lock. I just slide to unlock but the backlight turns off as well. It didn't do this in past versions. I will try and see if turning off the haptic feedback will help, but that is not really the solution that I'm looking for. Just tried it and it still turns off the backlight with haptic feedback turned off.

Should have sussed that as the backlight was flashing when I would have expected vibration Cheers. Now I have a bug free s2u2 (for the moment)
Guest Jumba Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 I've also been experiencing lots of problems. First, try switching Caller ID off. If that doesn't work, going back to a previous version seems like the only option until the bugs can be ironed out.

Guest snrsuave Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 It looks like the fix Daugvolf posted only works for the i900. I have the Verizon i910 and turning off the haptic feedback did not work for me. Just to be clear, you guys are turning off the setting at Start > Settings > Personal > Vibration > "Disable vibration for touch screen"?

Guest Adrynalyne Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 That doesn't appear to fix the backlight staying dim after unlocking though :(
Guest snrsuave Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 I have an i910. The Haptic Freedback option is under the S2U2 Settings screen. Thanks! I wasn't even aware that there was such a setting in the s2u2 settings! I have turned off the option and it seems to have fixed the issue!
Guest PuijkeN Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Nice just happend to notice this thread but was having the same problem. Backlight going nuts when using password protection, turned off haptic feedback and works like a charm at the moment! :( Happy me ! B)
Guest FerdiBorbon Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Is it just me or when you lock and unlock the screen it seems laggy with the new version oppose to the older versions, perhaps its the new animation, also when going to the control panel and sliding up and down it seems laggier.
Guest PuijkeN Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 No problems here, works smooth as hell ! :(
Guest kiagr Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 Hi! I have a problem with s2u2 to which I cant find a solution. I´ve installed the app on my device mem, made a hard reset, but when i start it I get the background and status bar but not the actual "slider" to unlock the phone?! I have to make a soft reset to be able to get in to the phone again, and then uninstall it. Same problem with every version I´ve tried. I´ve tried google and checked the FAQ's on the download site, but nothing (or I'm just really bad at searching :() Anyone got an idea of what the problem might be? Its a i900 16GB PDA: XBHJ2/XBHJ1 phone: XBHI3
