Can't disable Advanced network functionality in Mass Storage mode!

I swear I was doing this and it was working fine, but now it doesn't. I had read here some time in the last few weeks that unchecking "Enable advanced network functionality" under "Settings->Connections->USB to PC" fixes the hanging omnia when disconnecting from a Mass Storage mode connection.

Now, when I uncheck it and hit [X], the mode under USB Connection changes back to Activesync. I switch it back to Mass Storage, and the advance network functionality box back in USB to PC gets turned on again.

Am I losing my mind? Can someone check this on their phone too? Especially a 910, although the 900 behavior would be helpful too. You don't need to actually connect the phone to a computer via the cable -- just try manipulating these settings and see what happens.

I was "hang-free" for weeks with this. Then, I started having hangs again, checked the settings, and ran into this problem.

Bottom line: I can't make a Mass Storage connection without "advanced network functionality" enabled -- WM is forcing it now for some reason.

Any smarts on this, anyone? It's really pissing me off... :(

Dunno about you, but it's always worked like this for me on my i910. I just leave mine in Activesync because the Advanced Network Connectivity setting disables EvDO while it's plugged in and slows down/hangs the phone when connecting/disconnecting from USB.
