Music not playing when screen off?

My phone will play tracks consecutively when the the screen is on but when it is off it will play the remainder of the track but will not play the next track until the phone is woken up.

I've s2u2 runnuing, but it does the same with it completely removed.

Any ideas?

The only music player I that I have tried that doesn't stop playing is Windows Media Player

Let your screen turn off manually dont power off the first time it should work fine after that. This works for S2U 1.50

thats one feature i was looking for in a player, i found them on conduits pocket player, windows media player and touch player. all of those continue to play while screen is off. also set the s2u2 to "but Only blank screen" so that s2u2 wouldnt power down the device, will just kill the screen.
