backlight turning on randomly

Just today, the backlight on the LCD and keyboard light up randomly as if a text message is coming but nothing happens.

The current condition of the phone is

Windows Mobile 6.1

Task manager shows nothing is running

Bluetooth is off

It is sitting on my night stand

I believe i have disable 3G switching

please help, this is annoying and prob wasting battery

it could be service messages from your provider that dont show up because its just technical stuff.

it could be a service that is running in the background (don't have to show up in the built in task manager). have you installed google maps?

i second that, phoneAlarm also causes this. and facade too i think.

It's most likely a background process that starts up, thus waking the phone from standby mode.

I recently experienced that Microsofts newly released program My Phone does this every midnight. Once I knew the program I didn't worry anymore. Your PocketPC shoud go back to sleep once it is done.
