Guest Traveller888 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Hi everyone, after a soft reset, my Omnia seems to have gone nuts. I am stuck at the "align screen" screen where I'm asked to tap the points on the screen. However, once I've finished with the last point, it goes back to the centre and I have to do it over and over again. I can't even use my phone now. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Mine has done this before and i found that if you quickly align the screen ( by tapping each cross quickly ) it fixes the problem? see how that goes?

Connect your phone to your computer with usb. Create a file called "welcome.not" to the root folder of your phone. Do a soft reset and you will bypass the welcome screen. Most likely your screen was broken, so you can align the screen. Or you can try: 1. Open your Registry Editor(PHM Registry Editor) 2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/TOUCH/ 3. Click on CalibrationData 4. Value Data change to > 519,503 177,881 182,129 847,127 849,872 5. Click OK to save it. 6. Do a soft reset. For sure to copy down your old value! If whenever you touch your screen, your cell phone restart by itself. It means it's the hardware problem, so you need to get it fixed. In that case, use the mouse in your phone or use the program called My Mobiler to change back to your old value or do a hard reset. For sure to backup your files just in case you need to do a hard reset.
Guest Zohare Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I had the same problem. I had to buy a new digitizer on Ebay. No it is fine

Guest lkemper Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 You say plug the phone into the computer. When I do this it activates active sync and I do not have access to the root of the phone. How do I gain this access? span.jajahWrapper { font-size:1em; color:#B11196; text-decoration:underline; } a.jajahLink { color:#000000; text-decoration:none; } span.jajahInLink:hover { background-color:#B11196; } span.jajahWrapper { font-size:1em; color:#B11196; text-decoration:underline; } a.jajahLink { color:#000000; text-decoration:none; } span.jajahInLink:hover { background-color:#B11196; }
