Guest metroside Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I have a Toshiba G500 running WM5. It has been working great for months, but yesterday I noticed that when I unplugged the phone from a USB cable it still states that it is charging and stays like this until I conduct a soft reset. However, it seems to work fine when I plug it into a normal AC charger. I have tried troubleshooting the issue to try and resolve it but nothing seems to work. This is what I have done so far - Remove the battery and leave it for 15 minutes - Try with different battery - Try with different USB cables - Try with different computers - Try disabling the USB charging option in the registry. This option does not appear on my phone. - Enabled and disabled the USB advanced setting in the connections section. Is there anything else that I could try before I have to take the horrible step of hard resetting and then reinstalling all of my programs again :(
Guest davey1980 Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 hmmm seems like the fone code is reading usb connection. have u tried removing the battery with the fone ON? its important to make sure the fone is left switched on b4 u removed the battery,(this will not dmg the fone) once u removed the batter leave for 5secs then pop bk in and turn on. if it STILL shows try doing the same thing again but while its plugged into USB, this should bumb it bk to normal. hope this helps. :(
