Problem changing language, Omnia won't allow language change even with multi-languaage file

Hi, I bought my omnia 2 weeks ago and have been trying to change the language on it ever since. Every time I try to change the language it asks me to confirm the procedure, then tells me not to interfere and then reboots but nothing happens once it restarts. The phone is still in Swedish and it is as if I haven't done anything.

I received a multi-language file with the phone and I downloaded one from samsung, but no joy. Has anyone else come across this problem and does anyone know how to solve it?

Thanks, I have been considering this but am "dung" scared off bricking it! When I spoke to samsung here in Sweden they suggested this as a last resort (with the appropriate - don't come crying to us if it bricks), how big is the risk of bricking an omnia by flashing an english ROM? I ask this as I can't afford a brick right now.
