Turn off Sounds on Widget Screen

I'm trying to give the new Widgets (Today) screen a chance since I've updated the phone to DXIA5. (Really I just want the weather widget. ) But the sounds with the sidebar and the widgets moving around is annoying as hell.

Is there anyway to disable the sound on that screen without turning it off competely (which seems to also effect the phone)?

And yes I've tried SPB but there is nothing on that interface that is useful to me without digging. I just end up using it to get the dock at the top of the Today1 screen. Which causes more problems because then I have to scroll down on Today1 to get to other buttons. (IF there was a better way to customize the Today 1/2 screen to get rid of crap like e-mail buttons, not using the phone for e-mail, don't need it).

I've tried Winterface and that became tiring and bland. And there were some other issues with that which turned me off.
