Hello everyone!

I'm having a small problem, that is really a pain in the a**!

I usually write a lot of sms's, and I use the samsung phonepad for it. Since I came from a non-PDA phone, I'm very fond and used to the xt9 dic, and writing with it with 9 keys. The Omnia permits me to do the same, as you know, but in the last 3 Roms I've used the same problem bugs me.

Randomly, specially when some other aplication is in memory, the xt9 will be working, selected, but the option below the writting area won't appear!!! Lets say, I want the second word, the first will finish by itself, but I can't choose the second one (or any other, since I don't have that small window of choices with the arrows to surf around).

This is a RANDOM situation, since it happend after a reset, after a long time of usage, with or without other programs working and also it started to appear in the middle of a sms writing.

I don't know if you guys can understand what I'm saying... Since I'm new to the PPC scene, maybe I'm not getting something... I thought it was the rom, but it isn't... I'm using a recent one.

Help will be rewarded with a nice fluffy PM! :(

It seems that no one shares the same problem that I have... Maybe I'll just change ROM again and hope the problem goes away...

I too have this random issue on a custom rom, unfortunately I haven't found a solution either. It seems to occur when I install something new to the storage memory like a game. Whereas if I install it to the device memory it seems to sort itself out :(

A solution I found for this problem is - when this happens, use the D Pad (the little black square button between the Call and End Keys) to flip to the right, ie creating a move to the right action. Doing this will bring back the list of words for T9 then you can choose which word you want again.

Hope this helps.
