Sometimes, it can register the sim when starts.

But if I turn on any connection (GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, ActiveSync), then the Phone Connection fails.

Then I can see the Pin code screen saying something like "Sim status unknown", and then, if i can cancel on this screen, the device.exe error.

Please help me.

No one? Please...

I need the gps for my work, and I don´t want to buy a new one.

Please. Paul or another expert... bring me a little attention.

Ciao.

Does the SIM work in another phone ?

You can also try Settings / Personal / Phone / More / Band Selection / Get Settings - and try the frequency settings.

I´ve two sims. I recieve the error with both of them, and both of them work properly in other phones.

I´ve already Changed the band and the error persists.

It seems that I´ve got a hardware problem, but I don´t want to pay the support service until being sure that is the only solution.

Thank for your help.

Very odd! I have been on this forum for a long time and this is the first time that this problem has surfaced.

If the problem has been there since you first started using the phone, and the sims work in other unbranded phones, then it is likely you have a hardware problem.

Surely phone is still under warranty and there should be no service charges... unless you bought it from "out of country" and need to ship it there for repair etc.

OK thanks for your reply. But I lost the warranty when I changed the Rom version to an unofficial one... It seems that i have to buy a new one.

Thank you all guys.

Not sure if that is correct about the warranty. Just flash the latest from SS site and then take it to the service center. Those are offical upgrades...
