create shortcut as widgets

if we use widgets / online widgets in today screen, we can't add more item in today screen.

is it possible to create widget that actually a shortcut to a program?

if possible, then how we can create that widgets?

i hope somebody can help me..

I must say that I despised the widgets at first. Thought it was a nice gimmick. I used Samsung today 2 and then switched to SBP mobile Shell ver 2. SPB was great, but I decided not to reinstall it until the 3.o version arrived. The past month I have just used the widgets...just because (and I have really gorgeous model as the main picture).

I say this to say that the widgets are not as bad as I made them out to be. If there were some that were linked to Coreplayer, WMV and other programs that could be added to the Omnia I would stick with them.

That being said, I have waited for the ROM for the i910. The board is buzzing about a new hacked ROM that has new widgets. I am not as brave as my fellow Omniac's so I would love to just get customizable widgets in a SAFE and TRUSTED .cab and go on my way until Verizon and Samsung get their head out of their behinds.

Although I'm still on a hunt for widgets that link to programs, I found other useful widgets in the meanwhile.

There are some cool widgets in there including clocks, calculators, google search, CNN news and accuweather.com. Follow the directions on the page. I installed them all and tried them and found that many were in different languages so I deleted them.

I believe it can be customize if someone found the way and I believe is matter of time.

unfortunately the widgets in the link you mentioned are for use with the "beta" ROM. so those of you who haven't updated to it, won't be able to use them. there online widgets

For those whom on DZIA5, do your "more Widget" really search for more?

On my device it only show the same 3-5 new widgets and that's all for months!
