Guest digitalx2001 Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 I'm fairly new to this phone (Omnia i910) so hopefully theres a simple answer. As soon as my phone starts up, it connects to broadband. I go to disable it and it starts reconnecting again INSTANTLY. It takes a few times and finally turns off for a while, but comes back in a few minutes. This never used to happen. I've even changed the registry to disconnect after 120 seconds instead of 600 - doesn't help, it still stays connected. I think I've narrowed it down to a few things: 1) I just set up an Exchange server account 2) I just installed the ICS program for tethering (however, when I open this program, it says Disconnected) 3) I am using Spb Mobile Shell's Today Menu module with the weather on it (are there auto-connect settings for this weather thing?) My question is, are there any settings for Outlook and IntShrUI (the tethering program) to make sure they aren't connecting unless I tell them to? Or, has anyone else had a similar issue and figured out what was causing it?
Guest gianton Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Use NoData to control your connections.
Guest djtosh Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 go to activesync, menu, schedule, select manual for both peak and off=peak
Guest mephisto75 Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Had the same problem! I solved by creating a new profile under 'Connections' -> Tab: 'Advanced' ->'Select Networks' You should have 'My Internet' as the chosen one. Tab on the 'New...' Button. I called that profile 'NoConnection'. Just don't enter any valid data for a Modem. Remember to select 'This network connects to the internet' under 'Proxy Settings' Voila! Just remember to chose 'My Internet' as you network, when you tend to go online!
