Well, I accidentally washed my telephone with my clothes about 3 weeks after i purchased it under verizon. I had the Omnia i910 and im looking to get a used one on ebay for roughly $300. Could anybody give me any suggestions on what I should be looknig for so that I could easily transfer my verizon plan to the new phone. Should i get the i900? if I'm looking for 16 rather then 8gb intenal memory, would it be a better idea to get i900 vs. the i910 and the fact the it is unlocked? I would appreciate any suggestions so that I do not make a mistake in my purchase.

1) If you are using Verizon, you can't use an i900 since that is a GSM phone and Verizon is a CDMA provider

2) if you have insurance, you should have been able to get a replacement phone with a $50 deductible.

3) whatever CDMA phone you get can be activated with your Verizon account by calling them and having them activate it.

You may still be able to bring it back and tell them that the phone all the sudden stopped working, and that you would like it to be replaced as it was defective :( obviously this wont be easy but worth a try (as long as it not too obvious you actually washed it).

Good luck

And as long as it's not dripping water. :(

Haha you guys are silly. Unfortunately I had insurion with my last phone, Verizon XV6700, and it broke os many times and was replaced that they canceled my insurance and I wasn't able to appy new insurance on my new phone a year from the cancellation. I would have had to wait another 4-5 months before applying insurance to my new omnia (the wet one) so it cannot be replaced. Verizon did have a return policy on manufactured defects but I doubt my phone would get away with their warranty guidelines on replacement. I also opened the phone to see if I could fix it by eliminating the corrosion and drying out the inside. The chip was fried and there was no way it could be recovered. I tried anyway but after putting it back together.. the phone just wont turn on.. No response from power button what so ever. I have appreciate your suggestions and was unaware the i900 didn't work under verizon service.. Thank you for making me aware.. I love very much. but since I have this opportunity to replace the omnia with something new.. Would anybody suggest looking at any other phone models that are similar to the Omnias touch screen and layout? I picked the Omnia over the HTC Touch so that wouldn't be an option. But I remember hearing some news about an Omnia HD.. It looks nice (except for the jumbo camera) but the only downside would be no WM6.1 :( Thanks
