Android: an advice

Hello guys:

I have been following the Android system online for a while, and I do like it. I know the G2 is coming out next month and more stuff (hopefully) to follow.

now i live in a country where we don't have t-mobile and our Vodafone won't be getting the G2! what is your advice to get an unlocked Android? looks like all the device that come out are service locked (too much for open handsets!!) should i try to get the developers G1? or wait or look for a T-mobile unlocked?
