Guest Mucho loko Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 A few minutes ago I tried my wifes i900 to the new ROM version AI5, official. It loaded 1st file, then program asked for me to turn the device on manually. I tried many times and nothing. The screen was black and the Power button was red. Took the usb cable out, removed the battery, put battery again and the power button now was unlit. Put to charge, power button turned red again. Tried a hard reset. Nothing. Can someone help me?
Guest voornaam3884 Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 you need grandprix the rom boot might be fine. never cook your own rom unless you understand. always get a .exe selfextracting rom update. your rom update might gone wrong because you used something, you need a certified rom
Guest Samuelw Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 (edited) you need grandprix the rom boot might be fine. never cook your own rom unless you understand. always get a .exe selfextracting rom update. your rom update might gone wrong because you used something, you need a certified rom @Voornaam, ik denk niet dat je zijn probleem begrijpt. @TS, your phone is bricked, there are two options you've got. - Bring your phone to a Samsung Repair center (tell them you flashed it with a original rom) - Eelco, he's someone from another forum, can repair your phone for 30 euros. He lives in Romania. Unless you want to spend 200 dollars on a device that can unbrick your phone, above standing options are your only options Edited March 17, 2009 by Samuelw
Guest kav Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) since u used an official ROM to update, i would suggest that u bring it back to the shop and have them change the unit under waranty. its the easiest. but before u bring the device, just try a soft reset, when the light is on (red power led) see if it makes any difference. if not then try to upgrade the device again with the same IA5 ROM, seems like u interupted the upgrading process and when u press the power on button, it has no OS to load, therefore the screen is blank. charge ur omnia to full before upgrading. just plug in in and wait until the power led turns green (means that it is fully charged) Edited March 18, 2009 by kav
Guest voornaam3884 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) Some people wrote they used grandprix to reflash a bricked phone and perhaps i do not understand, might be better to send it to a pro.

Edited March 18, 2009 by voornaam3884
