I run a dutch rom (XKHJ3) witch I kind of...hate (because the translations are not very well...). You can download a language file from samsungmobile.com (link to file) so you can change the language to English. so I download it, copy it to my phone, and run it.

It starts very well, no errors, no warning or what ever. the phone said it has to re-start (it did by itself :( ).

but after that this happend:

Is there any one who have the same problem? I DON'T need a solution because samsung did return it! I just want to know or some one else had the same problems B) .

I don't think it's Bricked.... I'm no expert and I'm pretty sure I won't be much help.

But, have you tried Hard reset??

Take your battery out.. to stop the looping.

Then Start it back up while you have the 'Send' and 'End' buttons both pressed at the same time.

Keep holding...then you'll get a question.. hopefully :(

Then you just follow the direction.

I really don't think it's bricked.. bricked is where the phone is not usable any more.. doesn't turn on or anything. B)

I had the exactly the same problem.

I am swedish but mainly english speaking, and i tried to update to english with the .mli file provided by samsung them self.

and my phone whent "downloading file to device memory, and will then restart"

But never came back, i sent it in and got it back in dutch again.

So i charged my battery to 100%, did a hard reset, copied the .mli file from pc to phone via active sync (to the root directory of "My Storage")

Then did the language switch again, i let the power cable plugged in, and i now have it in english.

:(
