Hey everyone who is stuck on this TTN7 issue where you hav to restart you phone (mine is omnia) to allow it ot pick up a gps signal.

I think i have found how to fix this problem...

1st install both port splitter and TTN5-8 (which ever)

Run Port splitter

In the input port, type in... COM3:

in Baud, select..... 4800+

In output, select COM7: then press add and then START SPLITTER

click on ok at the top right corner of screen.

open TTN7

in main menu click:

change pref > the arrow to the 6th page > GPS status > config > other NMEA GPS receiver

change baud rate value to 4800

and select Port splitter COM7:

*if u wanna turn Xtra Download in ur phone device, it is optional.

Ur phone should pick up a signal within 5secs

Thanks for your input. This option has been out for a very long time with various other port applications.

Although this works, im using iGO8 without a virtual port app, It picks up the sats pretty fast and has a better looking gui than any TT version.

hahahhaahaha yeh i noe im just a few months late, BUT, there are a lot of slow learners out there who r still asking for some help.

sooo im just using this forum to post instructions up.

saves me from typing it over and over again in each forum.
