Guest vveljk Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Hello, First thank you all for your time and help. Problem is following: When I make bluetooth connection between Omnia (I upgraded to taril's DXIA5 ROM) and Balupunkt auto radio which has integrated bluetooth, the phone is waken up as soon as it goes to power save mode. This drains my battery in 2 to 3 hours (fully charged). The same story with WiFi connected to access point, when "Wi-Fi power-saving mode" disabled. But if I enable "Wi-Fi power-saving mode", than it is OK. I guess "Wi-Fi power-saving mode" turns off wifi module and by that connection is not active anymore. Regarding bluetooth, I guess this radio is all the time checking signal quality of phone, checking if it still there,..., and because of that screen is turned ON. As soon as it goes off in approximately 3 seconds it goes back on. When I bought Omnia,it had ROM i900XXHG9/PNHG9 and everything was working well. My friend bought Omnia half a year after I bought it and this problem was allready present in samsung official ROM. Can't rember which ROM did he have exactly, but I know it was different version than my (newer). I upgraded both of Omnias to Taril DXIA5 ROM thinking this might solve his problem and after that problem showed on both devices. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you. VV

VV Well sorry i dont have an answer for you.. but i do have some extra questions ;-) i to have an autostereo (sony explod or something similar) with blue tooth. The anoying thing is That if i have my blue tooth on on my phone, my stereo will automatic pick up the phone bt signal and i am able the call over the stereo. Sofar so good, however the stereo audio streaming from the omnia is not picked up automaticly. This means that every time i have to go to bluetooth setting in the wireless mamanger on the omnia, go to devices and long press the explod so a menu pops up and the select audio streaming. The moment i do that, the stereo immediatly shows a new symbol for audio streaming. Everytime i close bt or the power to the car stereo, the streaming icon dissapears and i have do the abovementioned steps again. This is no problem for long drives, but in the city its very anoying since everytime it takes me time to fix this. Im not sure but maybe it has also something to do with the fact i also have stereo bt headset. It would surprise since its turned of in the car.. but ya never know. do you have similar problems? does anyone know a solution? greetings ps. dont u use a carcharger? Guest lastnikita Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 it is working well.. did you test with another WM phone to check if the problem is not on the MS or Blaupunkt's side ?
Guest vveljk Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 it is working well.. did you test with another WM phone to check if the problem is not on the MS or Blaupunkt's side ? lastnikita which ROM do you have? Yes we have tested it aslo with Audi S5 (factory integrated bluetooth). The same story. I think this is the problem, because of checking signal quality, ...., all those communication bring phones screen ON.
Guest lastnikita Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 any rom acted the same for me... I asked to test with a different phone, not a different autoradio which might have the same problem :(

On your Sony Explod radio you can activate Stereo BT connection (A2DP) by typing on button "6" on your radio. It works only, when "Bluetooth Stereo" is activated as source

Guest vveljk Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 @omnia100 My WiFi is working without any problems, but my phone won't stay in stand by mode, when I disable WiFi Power saving mode. All the time it goes off and back on.

VV i think it might be a problem with ur omnia (dont think hardware). did u try just to pair it with another bluetooth device, other than a headset? like for example another fone or ur computer? then just wait and see what happens because the computer and another fone will send data on and off (i mean every 5 or 20 seconds) just to check if the device with which it is paired is still present and connected, but this shouldnt wake the fone every time. if it makes this waking up problem every time, then i believe that it might be a problem with the omnia ROM, try installing the latest official ROM and see if it makes these problems, if yes, then i cant think of any problem than the hardware itself. Yes I tryed and situation is following. Phone with Phone can only transfer data and can not make live connections like with headset or with high quality stereo capable devices. Phone with PC can make Handsfree connection (like with headset) and the screen stays off. But I noticed that PC is not checking mobile reception signal quality. This could be making problem. Any good thoughts. I know that this is ROM fault, because when I had ROM i900XXHG9/PNHG9 it was working normaly. But I changed to this new DXIA5 based rom, because of WM stability and much better response time. I would like to stay on this ROM but with this functionality fixed B) Thank you all for your opinions.

Hello Kav, What you want is very simple. All you need to do is to disable other options than High qulaity stereo. You said: "This means that every time i have to go to bluetooth setting in the wireless mamanger on the omnia, go to devices and long press the explod so a menu pops up and the select audio streaming" Instead of that do not make long press but normal short press and you will come to advanced (for choosen device) settings. Just uncheck all connection that you don't want and leave high quality stereo checked. Next time your phone will not allow other connections, but only high quality stereo connection.

Well i already tried this by just chekking the wireless stereo and leaving the handsfree unchecked, didnt help. But maybe the problem is that i also ghave a bluetooth stereo headset paired with also has wireless stereo checked. Maybe it only allows one wireless stereo pairing. Or maybe the fact that i switch to blue tooth via spb mobile suite is a problem.. dont know As far as the other responses: it is paired with the radio so that shouldnt be the problem. And the button 6 option on the explod i will try! i ll report my findings. I did however found a software solution with A2DP toggle. if you leave your bluetooth off and you start is trough A2DP today plug in, the explod will pick up the wireless stereo. Much better than my previous option but still anoying that you need to press something. So im hoping that the button 6 option works.. B) Edited March 15, 2009 by mementomori

Guest vveljk Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Is there no one using OMNIA with bluetooth car kit? If yes, is it working OK? If working OK, how did you set it up?
Guest Ariston HS Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 I use Jabra BT620S (A2DP mode), before I upgrade to DZIA5 my bluetooth working just fine. But now I got stuck after 1 minutes of playback (music or video -> media player, core player, touch player), the player seems to be crash but when I turn off the bluetooth headset, the player continue to play.
