Guest westy123 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 i'm just about to try WMP actually, though i don't use the mobile version on my device (or touch player either). i have instead been using S2P, which is great except it doesn't yet support aac.
Guest TheDrizzle Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 I have a Zune pass membership and I can sync the subscription music with my Omnia using Windows Media player on my PC. Just hook up your Omnia via USB, make sure activeSync sees it, open up windows media player and click the "Sync" tab at the top and your storage card, device storage and "my storage" should all appear as targets to sync your music to. Everything I've synced (including the subscription music) plays fine in s2p, but I have had the same problems with TouchPlayer, it cannot find many of the files I copy over. Have fun!

I thought that Zune music was locked to Zune devices, and Microsoft was only talking about eventually bringing it to Windows Mobile. Is this something you could use even if you don't have a Zune?
Guest pw-man Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I use Media Monkey - it is fantastic - works through either Activesyc (slow) or using my Omnia storage as a usb mass storage (under settings..connections). I use autosync along with smart playlists... and it is great - I even have it convert large bitrate files (say greater than 240 bps) to keep the file sizes decent - all automagically. Highly recommended!!!
