POP3 mail question

I have recently re-built my Omnia and have exchange mail and POP3 accounts. However, incoming mail into the POP3 account seems to be automatically marked as read. The exchange account is fine and other systems where I D/L the POP3 mail are also OK with unread mail showing in bold. Therefore, the server settings must be OK. I am using a custom ROM (from Taril) but have not seen any other posts reporting this problem. Can anyone offer some ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks

having exactly the same problem here, with an official rom, although I didn't even notice until I read your post: I already got used to the POP3 mail not being in bold, ever, and I don't use an exchange account.
