Hi Guys! thanks for making me a member here. I'm new using windows Mobile and I want to make upgrades in my omnia like Iphone type settings, themes, skins, etc.

I don't know how to start. When I plug in my Omnia using Usb it show's open folder and thats it, all I see now is just the photos I've taken and no windows file. Is that normal? I tried pressing hard reset and when I do the same procedure, still the photos only no files at all.

My omnia is only 8gig and no storage card yet, but I'm planning to buy 8 gig card. I was browsing in this forum and I see a lot of skins etc. I want to have the iphone settings but again I'm sorry I'm a newbie and I dont have any idea what's manila thing, cab files etc. I'm just afraid I might end up bricking up my Omnia.

Hope you guys can help me, I just don't want a stock Omnia programs.

Thanks and more power!

Hello and welcome, this is a pretty good forum. Most of the questions you have have already been answered here if you look for them. But I will try to help anyway, I believe that by Iphone settings you mean the Ifonz theme. I personally user manilla2d, but I assume Ifonz is similar; you just download the application and install it on your phone and from there is pretty much straight forward (dont ask me where to dl it_) . There is a lot of good applications for the Omnia, I recomend you get skyfire, the pandora app, skype mobile, coreplayer and one that you will learn to love later on ClearTemp. Keep in mind that you should install EVERYTHING on your storage memory and not the main, it will save you lots of headaches later. Cheers and good luck!!!

Did you mean to say "my storage"?

I install everything to the SD card or "my storage" unless device memory is a pre-requisite.

Storage memory seems to fill up with a mind of its own.

Anyway WEEP, read, read and read some more through these forum pages.

Do advanced searches on subjects which interest you.

Personally I use SPB Mobile Shell with imarche skins.

The skins have iphone style icons available.

See here

Get yourself a nice fat mini SD memory card before you go too far with installations.

One of the forum users here put together a pretty comprehensive list of the Omnia hacks/tweaks around. The link can be found here:
