Guest tommyjohn1 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Hi I have a Samsung Omni i900 uk version, one of my contacts numbers comes up as private and wont show his mobile number. Im using my old sim from vodaphone and thought i had deleted it. When I go into the menu to phone, fax or email the icons are lit up for mobile and message as if to say I can ring or message him but I cant. Any ideas pleaseeee. Cheers Tom
Guest illusion786 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 (edited) Write the number down and delete the old entry and then add it again, see if that helps. edit: also make sure he aint hiding his number with 141 Edited March 11, 2009 by illusion786
Guest tommyjohn1 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Hi thanks for the reply, the problem i have is that i cant access the number to write it down . It just wont show and only shows as private next to his name . Its so confusing I know !!Itd like the number has been hidden or something
Guest illusion786 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 You cant hide it on the sim. It probably just means the data on the sim is corrupt
Guest tommyjohn1 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Thanks for the info mate I really appreciate it, someone said that perhaps I had used the activesync software to transfer his details and had opted to hide his number, do you know if this is possible to do. I dont remeber doing this all i ever did was transfer my hotmail contats but i used the phone to do that ??
Guest illusion786 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 hotmail ? it may have not converted the data properly. Idk tbh I dont remember seeing an option to hide the number when transferring via Async.
