Guest digitalx2001 Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 This should be a simple answer, hopefully I'm just missing something obvious: I can't figure out how to sync my calendar to Exchange using my broadband. I don't want to connect to my computer/ActiveSync to do this. I am able to connect and send/receive email perfectly fine from Exchange, but this doesn't update the calendar; also, within the calendar, I couldn't find any menu option for sync,send/receive, etc

However, there's no button to send/receive from within the calendar like there is with email? I have to open ActiveSync on my phone to sync the calendar to Exchange? (not the worst thing in the world i guess... especially considering at first I thought I would have to connect to my computer to do this every time... yikes)
Guest Chugworth Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) If you're using ActiveSync with an Exchange server then your email, calendar, contacts, and tasks are synced in nearly real-time. Make a change on your computer, and within a few seconds it will be updated on the device (or vice versa). Edited March 12, 2009 by Chugworth
Guest Devin C Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 I don't like syncing with Activesync. So I use WIRELESS SYNC, which is provided by Verizon Wireless. It works very well and pushes email and tasks and calendars and notes and everything else on Outlook to your phone via your desktop computer. So the only disadvantage is that you have to leave yoru desktop connected. You can find and load a copy of Wireless Sync on the Verizon website. Devin
Guest Mr_Gee Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I'm syncing my outlook to google calender (google calender sync) and google to my phone (goosync).. works great
Guest Chugworth Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 (edited) What's wrong with ActiveSync? It does exactly what you are looking for and doesn't require any extra software. No PC is needed. Edited March 14, 2009 by Chugworth
