Guest billy bob Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 (edited) Hey you guys... As you guys know the battery for the omnia doesn't last that long at all, and I was anxious to buy an extended battery for it. I did a dumb move and did not look over the listing correctly and bought a battery for a omnia i908/i900. So I got the battery today, it fits in correctly, and the phone operates, but the only problem is the phone states that it is an "invalid battery" and does not charge at all. Is there any possible way for me to get that to work or something? I currently have the i910 US version for Verizon. Thanks Edited March 13, 2009 by billy bob

The one I bought has a place to drop in an extra battery and the cradle should charge it without squaking about it not being approved. Also, you can plu in the i910 with the standard battery attached and leave it in the cradle either with the screen off or on and charge the onboard stock battery at the same time. It also allows you to connect to a PC to do sync and file transfers via USB. Pretty neat except, it would have been great if they would have added a headphone jack on the body of the cradle so when it's docked we can use it as an MP3 player. Don't know why they didin't think of that. I could mod the critter and put one on it I suppose. Sounds like a weekend project then. Sean

Guest billy bob Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 which extended battery have you bought? omnia needs. 550 MAh for usb connection with pc. 1400 Mah for power charger. I actually got the 2200 Mah one. So i guess the only way is to get the cradle for that?
Guest Samuelw Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 I actually got the 2200 Mah one. So i guess the only way is to get the cradle for that? Got a question: do you know whether the extra MAH leads to an increase in temperature? Since I want to buy 2x 1700 MAH, and don't want to worry about anything. Thanks in advance
