Hi there,

Having some trouble with the audio on my omnia, here's the story:

Playing music through windows media player or touch player seems 100% when using the speakerphone. However, when I plug in my headphones, all audio is distorted quite badly (sometimes for eg. i can hear the instrumental bits fine, but any vocals are inaudible or squeaky in sound). This applies for phone calls, radio and music.

I have noticed that the only way I CAN get the sound to play correctly, is if I use touch player and set the equalizer mode to "SURR" - suddenly audio that music playback is 100%. However i find touch player useless when it comes to playlists etc.

Could my problem be due to audio drivers or something? or am I looking at hardward failure?

Appreciate any help.

Did you use the sound tweak to get the headphones to play louder - the *#0002*28346#?

I have the same problem. Hard reset 3-4 times, nothing. I flashed the phone from dxhk3 to dxhia5 and the problem didn't disappear... i bought another headset from ebay, cheaper one... and wow, it's working :( (but no radio compatible, i'll search for another headset). Also, no problem with bluethoot headset (Plantronics P950)... loud and nice :( . Still, i don't know where is the problem.... :( audio drivers, hardware or headset (old one)? B)

I use s2p for music but it's working also with WMP ... Plantronics P950 bluetooth headset (compatible A2P) works with the phone. You can answer to your calls when you're listening music. The sound is very nice, and all functions are working (play, stop, forward, backward), but i don't like very much the plastic that they used for headset. Whatever, for 60 dollars it's ok.
