29 May 2009 - Omnia ROM UltraLite base DXID1 build 21725 with BT-audio fix

This UltraLite ROM is based on new build 21725. I try to make this ROM as clean as possible. However, some useful tools are still in. Voice speed dial is removed but can be installed by a CAB file below.

This ROM will have HTC Task Manager but it can be disabled if you don't need.

Known issues: (still unable to solve right now)

1. Finger mouse doesn't work.

2. Set Volume by Omnia code doesn't work. Use AudioGainControl below.

3. Do not install Samsung Big Volume Control. It will disable autorotation.

Mini-Howto's:

1. RotationService: This ROM has RotationService build-in to disable autorotation for M2D and coreplayer. It will autorotate all programs listed in /program files/rotationservice/rotationservice.xml. If you want any program to have autorotation, just add program name to the enable autorotation section in this file. Modify this file by notepad on your PC desktop preferred.

2. Complete autorotation: uninstall the rotationservice program (setting>system>remove programs select QBUS rotation service and remove) and soft reset. You may have to enable autorotation in setting>system>motion sensor.

3. Enable Samsung dialpad and Video call: Use Tools\FavoriteHackings to enable Dialer skin and soft reset your phone.

4. Enable R2SV bluetooth stereo headset: edit the following registry and soft reset. (Thanks to chokia)

5. Enable Classic Blue theme: Go to Setting>Today>Appearance select "classic blue". This will enhance a good-looking menus.

7. Use core player in landscape mode: (Thanks to chokia)

In Core player menu

1. Tools>Preferences>Select Page(shortcut below left)>Video(Scroll up menu)>Video output>[change directdraw to intel Xscale]

2. View>Orientation>Follow GUI

3. Option: If you want the video to open in fullscreen everytime Tools>Preferences>Check "Play at open in fullscreen

8. Enable classic WM 6 start menu and disable new WM 6.5 Start menu: setting>system>Large display and tick Use Large Start Menu.

9. Enable wake up by front/any button: This ROM was set by default to wakeup by power button only. Go to settings>Personal>Buttons>Wake up and select what you want.

10. Cannot connect to internet: Go to Settings>Connections>Operator settings, Set a different operator than yours wait for 30 secs and then re-enable your default one.

11. Choose WM 6.5 or Classic ScreenLock: Go to Settings>Lock and "Display" Tab. Select "Windows Default" for WM 6.5 styled screenlock or "Windows Classic" for WM 6.1 styled screenlock.

12. Customizing Manilla (M2D): http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...ng-manilla-m2d/ (Thanks to gianton). To add a new Internet item, you have to add a new registry key:

Above is the example for youtubeplay item, change values in RED to what you want to add.

13. Unknown Caller ID bug: There is a bug when you lock the screen and press power off button. It will show unknown caller ID on incoming call. If you really need to see correct caller ID on lockscreen, you have to set your phone to "Lock on waken up". (Settings>Personal>Buttons>Wake up). Press power off or leave your phone to sleep by itself and you will get correct caller ID on incoming calls. Do not lock the screen before power off. Note: this bug was already fixed in the recent ROM's.

14. Change Titanium softkeys:

To change Left softkey:

Please be careful when you edit the registry. It can make error if you misspell or put wrong name.

15. Remove new Volume control - Remove \Windows\Startup\SetVolume.lnk and reset your omnia

16. Improve touch response in some WM 6.5 ROM:

MS added a registry that can worsen touch response on Omnia. If you feel that, go to the registry below:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\Touch\Filter]

"MinimumTapTime"=dword:28

Remove this key or change value to 0 and soft reset.

hi, I would like to realign the icons as well as create new folder for better access, the only way I know is to move up and move down. What about like moving it to spesific location and create a folder. Is there any config file that we can set it up?

[ROM] Omnia TouchFlo2D build 21189 (15 March 2009)

This new customized ROM was made for my personal use but you may find it useful for your daily use. My intention is to make a Fast, Stable, Small footprint but workable ROM.

Specifications:

1. Ported from ROM build 21189 aku 5.0.0 by Mrtoto's NB0 Kitchen Tool.

2. Use OEM from i900DXIA5 ROM.

3. Replace with NetCF 3.5

4. HTC Adobe Flash player

5. Thai enble but (hope) to support all languages (Thanks vivi for his oem)

6. 3 today GUIs: default=Titanium, second=normal WM6.1 today, third=TouchFlo2D

7. It's a TouchFlo 2D Lite version; please skip this if you want the original omnia interface.

8. More than 110 MB free storage memory

9. No Phone part

If you are talking about honey comb - then you need to adjust the directory structure under "windows\\start menu\\Programs" . Honey comb just follows the same structure as the sub directories. So if you create a new folder called "My fav Programs" it would appear on honey comb.

As an aside - if you create a .lnk to a program in a folder and rename it "icon.lnk" then the icon from the original program will be displayed instead of the default folder.

Thanks, Michael for your help. I have no time to rearrange all programs to meaningful folders. However, you can do this easily following Michael's suggestions. For examples, create a new folder named "Communications" in /windows/start menu/programs and move all communication lnk files from /windows/start menu/programs to this new folders. You can also create folders like "Utility", "Multimedia", etc.

The ROM with BT fix has no problem with wakeup by other buttons (thanks to liads and stevenh). However, the only minor wakeup bug is still present. You cannot set your phone to "lock on waken up". This is not too bad though. If you really your phone to be locked on wakeup, you can lock it before poweroff. It will still be locked on waken up.

portrait background: \windows\StartMenu_Background_Screen_240x400.png

landscape background: \windows\StartMenu_Background_Screen_400x240.png

You may need to enable Large display settings (to disable honeycomb start menu) before replacing these files.

Please also share your backgrounds to others.

YOU DONT NEED THE ONE WITHOUT BLUETOOTH FIX

CAUSE THE ONE WITH BT FIXED HAS NO LOCK PROBLEM!!!

Ok i just installed here's the update!

+ No Unlock and lock problem, you can safely press lock or press end button to lock without killing the device to hard reset

+ Bluetooth voice routing works! infact more sensitive to capture voice (tried with Microsoft Voice Command + MOTO S9)

+ IE6 menu now working infact IE6 working flawlessly. Click on youtube video it automatically go full screen, turn the phone the video follow orientation of the phone either horizontal or vertical. Nice!

- Still no support for chinese, korean and japanese on webpage

- Streaming TV backlight wont stay ON, unlike WM6.1

If anyone can help to fix the 2 negatives then this is the perfect ROM for now.

Just flash new ROM.Nice ROM and good add in apps.

But in setting,if i choose ok,it will close.I think it's beacause of htc x button.Maybe you shouldn't use HTC x button.Let user choose.Like wktask....
