BJ2 Jog Wheel and Dry Fingers

This is embarrassing to ask because I KNOW I saw a post relating to this along with a nifty fix. My problem: My jog wheel works great especially at the faster speed, but to get it to work smoothly I have to lick my finger or thumb to get traction on the wheel for smooth operation. I remember seeing someone's post about applying something either rubbery or tacky to the wheel to help them with the same problem but i can't for the life of me turn up that post.

Does anyone have any suggestions????
