Guest Troobador Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Hi everyone. Firstly, let me say I love my Omnia... great phone and I've added heaps of apps. I have disabled the Samsung dialer, and prefer to use the standard Windows dialer. I have a problem during calls, in that, My ear keeps pressing on the start bar and activating it. Does anyone know of any apps or tweaks that will either hide, or de-activate the start bar during a call? I know the screen will automatically blank after 10 seconds, but 10 seconds is a long time during a call, and is plenty of time for my ear to hit the start button. Anyone else having the same problem, or have any fixes? Thanks.

I just press the power button as soon as the call is connected, the screen won't wake up until you press one of the hard keys and you won't have this issue. I also have 'When device wakes up, lock device' under Buttons>Wake up, but I don't think that actually locks the phone while you're on a call. Turning the screen off is enough though, try it.
Guest bpivk Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Or you can try Pocketshield. It will lock your device as soon as you get a call. http://www.pocketshield.net/phorum/read.php?9,1767
