Guest Michael Pang Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 this is exactly what we want in wimo world.
Guest ronzo77 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 My gadget lust is torn between the WinMo Omnia HD and the SS Android phone with capacitive touchscreen (multitouch?)...
Guest kav Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 that would be nice, but still there would be the conflict of having the same device running 2 different OS and samsung will be having trouble with licenses for the different OS and programs that comes with them not to mention the price difference. Winmo devices costs more due to licenses and development put in it . giving the same device with these 2 OS, samsung wil have to allow the buyers to switch between the OS, since the device hardware will be the same, then if samsung doesnt provide a free switch to either OS, then people here will figure it out how to do it. but then it is stupid to put the same hardware at 2 different price tags. but if samsung mentioned that it can release an omnia HD with win mo 6.5, then, people will obviously buy the cheaper one and just switch to the win mo OS, causing samsung to lose money and since i dont think they would want that, i believe that this is just some false rumors being spread due to disappointments of some people because samsung is giving a superb device to the "other side" (symbian)

Guest kav Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) OMG OMNIA HD with WM6.5 is a dream comes true. keep until 2010 and flash it with WM7. PERFECT! cannot agree more with u, but like u said urself, DREAM,, and its quite far from reality. most of us here would love to get the omnia HD with all its specs as a winMo device, including me more than anyone, but unfortunately we have to stay realists inorder to keep up with our current omnia. i mean our i900/910 is not so bad device actually, its one of the best out there now. but like any device, it will get outdated and we can see already the new killing devices coming, and surely we will all want to have one right now, but i believe most of us have spent already a huge amt of money on the omnia i900/910 and its not so easy to invest in a new device so soon. so i think we can just keep this wish to have the omnia HD on winmo, but if we see the reality, it has very very little chances of happening, so i say we better put efforts in making our current omnia a better one with the specs it has. just dont give up on it yet! Guest chokia Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 OmniaHD capacitive screen is ready for multitouch WM7 http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index....7_images_leaked
Guest kav Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 OmniaHD capacitive screen is ready for multitouch WM7 http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index....7_images_leaked i didnt see anything related to the omnia HD, just some leaked screens abt wm7 from early last year, maybe i am mistaken or getting blind B)
Guest chokia Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 I was saying that OmniaHD has capacitive screen so it makes a lot of sense for this phone to be flashed with WM7 (that has multitouch function which refer to the link given) when it comes out in 2010. Dont worry until OmniaHD WM6.5 comes out, Omnia still the best phone around. B)

B) my bad. i misunderstood u. guess i was not mistaken or going blind but going a bit crazy :( :( :(. i am not worried abt the current omnia, anyway i will get myself an omnia HD maybe IF it comes with win7. just got my omnia i900 3 months ago :D have to wait a bit before spending more on devices like these. :(
Guest msra6la2 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 OmniaHD capacitive screen is ready for multitouch WM7 http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index....7_images_leaked there will be no point of having WinMo 6.5 on Omnia HD because the buttons (ie. the taskbar, the scrollbar etc....) are way too small for winmo to function properly on Omnia HD.
