Guest ivanoski Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Greetings, I have samsung omnia connected to the network of TIGO in HONDURAS, the problem is that with TIGO it works with this signal UMTS: 3G with UMTS/HSDPA in 850 MHz. but SAMSUNG OMNIA brings only 2100 mhz I want to know if there is way to change the frequency of 3g so that to the 2100 MHz responds to the 850 MHz and NOT 2100 Mhz, thanks

Guest Neil5459 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 There are so many threads about this, with users getting hot under the collar when more technically expert people tell them it can't be done (with no apologies when they are proven correct!) B) The summary of all this is that there is no way to force the phone firmware to use other bands, despite the chipset itself being technically able to do so. You will probably have to wait for an updated phone or a carrier specific ROM
