software problem

hello all first!

i tried updating my omnia since i have very bad battery life (1 day top), my touch is really bad and light sensor does't work from time to time. first i tried updating.

but none of sw upgrades didn't work. than i went to look at settings->version and i found this:

PDA: i900XXHHC/PNHHC

PHONE: i900XXHH9

my phone isn't branded but it doesnt have "8gb" sign on upper left corner like my friend's

tried googling it and nothing found just some bulgarian i think forums. what do you are your advices, with what can i flash/upgrade it or should i take it to service?

You should be able to upgrade to any DX or XX firmware.

What didn't work? Did you install Samsung modem drivers, are you using XP, etc.... if not read some topics about updating because i won't repeat what has been written at least 20 times so far. You should be able to find all the answers here.

And if you did all that write exactly what you did so we can help you.

thank you for your friendly welcome. well i downloaded the DXIA5 update from samsungmobile, didn't work, then i tried with resetting some settings that should bring it to work but they didn't. and yes i have all requested stuff installed according to instructions from samsung page. do you think i should pick another country?and which?
