It's the first app I put on my phone after flashing a new rom. Saved my life a couple of times already G-Alarm as well
Guest somedude Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 (edited) It was my first turn by turn navigation app too. But, I made the switch to garmin xt, and to me its better. It has a intergrated google search, live trip calculations, estimated arrival, etc. Just a lot of the little things make it better than igo8. I also like the fact that it uses miles instead of meters. Im from the U.S we dont use the metric system over here! Edited April 2, 2009 by somedude
Guest GodsGift Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I agree that IGO8 is simpler to setup and install and is a great app. (although the "you are over the speed limit" amused my daughter no end!) But I was using it to navigate somewhere and I think S2U2 kicked in and the sound went mental and locked up so I had to remove the battery to get back up and running. I kinda stick with Garmin XT now as its more stable. GG

Used it for the first time in the States and it worked flawlessly. No extra apps or software needed. Also I got a quick location fix once I started the program. B)

Guest illusion786 Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 igo has the best interface and is fully customisable unlike others.
Guest js3339 Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I tried IGO a while ago and it looked amazing but it also felt very sluggish and at that time it didn't work perfectly with Omnia's resolution. Since then I've been using Garmin XT and though it might not be the worlds smoothest program, it's very stable, simple (IMO) and accepts soo many kinds of maps that no other app beats that: feel free to use BlueChart nautical charts, Garmin Topo hiking maps, City Navigator maps and dozens of free OSM maps converted to Garmin format covering almost the whole planet. And with Mapsource/nRoute you can plan your routes with the computer easily.

Cause honestly, I love Igo8, but it waists the battery so much

Guest Itlooksfast Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Where can I download the IGO8 or GarminXT thats working? Please read the site rules no links or requests for warez has it but its not working for some reason. I live in the US btw so I need US or Northern America Maps Edited April 12, 2009 by Itlooksfast
Guest necosino Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Omnia HUB hosts illegal copies of software. The reason they were removed from RapidShare is because they are pirated software. iGO 8 and Garmin XT are both programs that you need to purchase to use legitimately. Nobody is going to help you pirate the software, sorry.
