Omnia as car's hud display!!

Hey!

I found this nice program from the depths of internet. It shows your current speed, heading and etc. It also supports hud mode which mirror's the screen, so you can place the phone under car's windscreen and see your speed from your windscreen.

I tested this on my omnia and it worked but it has some bugs. First is that it can't activate omnia's gps. To round this problem I've used gpsgate and IGO 8. First I start IGO 8 and goto the map screen. I press red phone button to get to the today screen. Then I activate gpsgate. Now I can start WSpeedMeter and set the com port from options to gpsgate's virtual port. Then start gps mode and your good to go driving. I think that the slow updating of current speed is the downside of my way of getting gps data. I don't know if this problem is only existing on my omnia but my gpsgate can't activate omnia's gps. It only feeds data when some other app start's gps (ex. IGO8).

Looks great but we need a native Omnia version, I don't wanna be faffing about with GPSgate

I just tried this and on first trying GPS I got the error "cannot connect to COM1" even if I selected a different port in the options, however when I went into the External GPS settings and changed the port from com3 to com1, I can now get a fix with this app. I haven't tried it moving yet though, this was just by the window
