please, noobie and in need of some basic help-

Hi everyone

i have had the omnia for like a month now and althoug I think it is a great phone I havent done much with it bascially because I don´t know how or what to do, and I can seem to find easy totorials or guides on how to do it. My main and i think only problem is that i can not connect to my home wifi network although I can connect to free open networks outside the house. I have been told it could be the vodafone software or the firmware and that upgrading could fix it.

- Should I upgrade my phone?

- To what version? I have a Buhj3.

-Is an XP computer absolutely necessary?

-I tried the official upgrade and got incorrect version message. Will that happen with a cooked vesion? Where can I find one and which is best?

I live in ireland, the phone its a vodafone one legally unlocked and currently using meteor sim card.

I would really appreciate any help.

Also, is manila2d the best? I installed SPB shell and thought it wasnt that good at all. Actually removed cos tought it pointless.
