Just tested it on x910 and its SWEET. Very fluid and fast.

XDA thread with download link.

Maybe we can get this added into M2D instead of youtubeplay. Or reassign the link on the M2D internet screen to point to this.

Thanks for the link. I could not download it from m.youtube.com - because it was saying that "my device is not supported". After installing the cab, it is working just fine.

Glad it works for you guys. I especially like how it goes to auto landscape and it fits...none squashed hah. Great interface and nifty animations.

Ok I got it working guys.

1. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Google/YouTube

double click on "install path" and copy / write down the ENTIRE location of the official youtube installation .exe.

2. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Htc/Manilla2d/InternetWidget/Customized/0/CustomizedURL

and double click on "customizedURL" and input the location you copied above. mine reads (this might be different for you depending on where you isntalled it):

\My Storage\Program Files\YouTube\youtube.exe

3. Softreset

4. Go to internet tab and clicky the youtube and enjoy B)

I love the app, very touch friendly and fast.

One question though, Is there a way that the video will only work in Portrait mode and not in Landscape mode.

It's so annoying to change the settings every time I use it.

To download directly from m.youtube.com (and be sure you always have the latest version) you need to change the Country to any one of the supported ones.

Use for example USA or UK. Then it will download without problems B)

I'm using an official x910 rom running .net 3.5. Aside from that I have no other hacks. I'm not sure about the codec problem...
