Guest leedtaylor Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Hi all, I recently aquired my Omnia and updated the firmware to get rid of the Vodaphone specific bits as I am with o2. Bascially, I have got a new adaptor so that I can fit my own headphones but when I connect and run the FM radio all I can hear is background static and no radio? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have searched the forum to see if anyone else had responded to similar issues but could not identify any posts that may help? many thanks Lee

I have set the region and also the alternative frequency and it does'nt work. It works here. What is your version of your omnia? use the latest, dxia5. Also you can try the hard-reset method. B)
Guest BeamRider Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Bascially, I have got a new adaptor so that I can fit my own headphones but when I connect and run the FM radio all I can hear is background static and no radio? Is this an original Samsung adaptor? Does is provide an antenna? The FM Radio checks for the hearphone adaptor (just to simplify things) but the FM antenna is not connected to the hearphone harness, it uses specific pins (1 and 2) on the connector. Cheers

It worked great for audio like Media Player. It does not work for FM Radio as it needs antenna of original wire. You can use just the first half of wire and plug your headset into it. Hope this helps. Ron...
