Guest xfer85 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 (edited) touchflo 3d + spb shell skin + taril's ROM 1) Would they work together? Currently i configured my interface to be like HTC with iphone icons. Thinking of installing Taril's ROM, and touchflo 3D, would they compliment each other? Do i need to note the installation order? 2) Also, on a side note, does Taril's ROM allow me to replace today's screen? Im currently using spbwatcher, but it still does back to the omnia's today screen after pressing end call, before moving back my customised spb menu. If not, how can i do that? Guest Maxwell Newton Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 I think touchflo goes with M2D, why would you want spb when you can have M2D?! Or is touchflo that little prog so you can minimize programs by dragging down ect?
Guest xfer85 Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 Im not sure how M2D goes, but i downloaded SPB shell theme skins because i can customize my omnia to look like htc, and have Iphone icons. Not sure if M2D has the capability tho. I can change any interface with an easy click and instant change motion. I want touchflo for just the dragging action on the bottom panel of icons. Trying to act some class touch to my HTC interface.
Guest Maxwell Newton Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 Well i downloaded an iPhone theme for my M2D and that looks great, there another thread on here somewhere with hundreds of skins for M2D!
Guest jason07 Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 The actual TouchFlo 3D will not work on Omnia (at this stage anyway). HTC devices use 3D hardware to run it, and the Omnia doesn't have it. IF it did work though, what would be the point of using SPB shell?? B) I think there is a TouchFlo 3D SKIN only for SPB, so if that's what you're referring to then it should work, but for me the real M2D (TouchFlo 2D) is much better anyway. As for Taril's ROM, as far as I'm aware he's set it up to function similar to the original Omnia (just an enormous amount better), ie. using TouchWiz still. So yes, you can alter your Today screen apps.
Guest L B Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 I use spb mobile shell menu to replace the program tab. Works much better and faster.
Guest xfer85 Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Ok thanks. Maybe i'll just forget about touchflo for now. Im quite comfortable with the spb shell skins tbh. 1) I dont understand how i can quite get the spb menu on my today screen though, without using spbwatcher. Can anyone give me a quick heads-up? 2) Also, is it possible to delete off taril's ROM after upgrade if i decide it doesnt suit me?
Guest bpivk Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 1) I dont understand how i can quite get the spb menu on my today screen though, without using spbwatcher. Can anyone give me a quick heads-up? Spb watcher is the best way to do it. 2) Also, is it possible to delete off taril's ROM after upgrade if i decide it doesnt suit me?I don't understand this question... If you're asking can you delete SPB then the answer is yes. If you're asking if you can delete the rom the answer is no you have to change roms you can't delete them.
Guest jason07 Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 I think he means remove Taril's ROM. In that case, no. You can't just delete it. You'll have to re-flash ur phone with another ROM that suits you better.
Guest xfer85 Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 (Numbering not related to the above post) 1) Yap, thats what i meant. Does that mean, because im on version DXHK (default i got from my phone), i can simply get the same update back from Samsung's official website? Also, is there a need to re-install applications/games after installing the ROM? 2) SPBwatcher is fine, but whenever i go to messaging, or calendar for that matter, the back ground screen is still that of today's theme, and not htc's. Imagine a htc interface, with black and classy feel, then when i select an appoint or get to my sms, the interface looks like my ugly green themed today screen.
Guest L B Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 If you have thumbapp, you can make it the default calendar when you touch the now screen's calendar. There's a program you can download from thumbapp I think.
Guest xfer85 Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 Im currently using thumbcal 1.2.5. How can i get it to work like you mention?
Guest Jumba Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 You will find instructions on how to integrate ThumbCal here.
