Guest justpratik Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 is it true that battery may drain quicker if my storage is about full? i did the check. my battery works well (about 3 hrs play, 1/2 hrs music, 1/2 hours internet) and longs last for around 2/3 days when my storage is full empty. but if i put the data and do the full my storage. the phone's battery dropping 20% for around 3/4 hours. what is that? kind of bug which can solve by updating the rom? or i am wrong that nothing like that. have u any idea?
Guest Maxwell Newton Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 Im not sure about the storage, but make sure you measure the battery levels from full, i have noticed that my phones battery will slowly work down to 20% ish over 24-36 hours minimal use and then the last 20% drops in about an hour! Watch out for it B)

Guest awarner (MVP) Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 The ammount of storage you have on your device will technically not affect your battery level. Battery is dependant on usage ie data applications used etc. If you are accessing the main storage it will use slightly more battery. When the battery gets too low it is known for devices to stop accessing the storage to preserve battery life.

Guest awarner (MVP) Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Where you have the largest storage area is the best place to install applications. I prefer to leave thesystem memory for phone related storage like SMS etc.
Guest Reuben (MY) Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 i usually install programs into My Storage. you may try upgrading your firmware to solve battery issue, or practise ending all tasks by holding the side menu button for few seconds whenever you close a program with it's X, battery drain might be due to some program still running in memory...
