Guest csc12345678 Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 I'm having some problems with my O2 Graphite. I found a shop which still sells this old model. But I heard that the battery starts to deteriorate from the date of manufacture and not the date of first use. Is this true ? If so, does that mean that even though the phone is new, the battery won't be able to last as long as I have bought my first Graphite 1-2 year back ? How serious would this problem be ? Would it die on me in 1 year or so ? Thanks.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Batteries are technically designed for around 500 charges, there is a shelf life but apart form the battery discharging overtime a top-up charge when you buy a new battery should be ok. Just make sure you buy an official battery and not a cheap Chinese knockoff which may have charging safety issues. With batteries you generally do get what you pay for.
