Guest kujneki Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 OK, this one has been bothering me for some time. Sometimes I just want to mute incoming call ringer. One option is Etiquette, but since I use "ring and vibrate" it's not really usefull because Omnia will only silence the ringer but won't turn off the vibration on face down. Besides Etiquette can be dangerous (for example: alarm won't go off if phone's face down). Now some say it's possible to mute the ringer with volume buttons, but this one doesn't work for me either. I've had two different ROMs (I'm currently on DXIA5) and it's the same.
Guest illusion786 Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 when it rings just press the volume button on the side, it will mute the tone and vibration. B)

B) Nope, that doesn't work on my phone/ROM. However a long press of the volume button on the side rejects call (it's like you'd press the RED hard button).
Guest illusion786 Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Hmm, i thought that was standard with all phones. Its like that on my HTC Artmeis, HTC Wizard and as well as my Omnia.
Guest Reuben (MY) Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 if you wish to mute only Calls, why not customize it in Start > Settings > Sounds & Notification > Notifications tab... choose None for Incoming calls, and the rest like Messaging : Text / MMS / Email with another settings e.g. Play Sound. then leave your master volume ON.
